Princess Street is a must-visit if you are in need of retail therapy. There are many Edinburgh hotels located in Princess Street, although these are generally more expensive than those further out of town. Hotels in Edinburgh are busiest during the summer months (June to August) so it is adviseable to book in ahead if you will be traveling during this period.
